Abstract Art

My artistic transition from a more structural and architectural background has been gradually driven over the years towards a free flowing and abstract direction. Painting, a more recent pursuit, provides further understanding of the artists and craftsmen with whom I collaborate as a designer. Desiring to explore a deeper sense of my visual preference and boundaries, I moved to Chicago in 2014 and set up a studio to begin this journey, continuing to expand my interests in contemporary and abstract design. In these early stages of experimenting, the process has been fabulous....between bouts of wondering why my dyslexic mind continually influences me back towards logical and balanced illustration. Our attempt to define abstraction, while allowing our mind and hand to fully embrace the wonderful lack of boundaries is challenging when not introduced at an early age. Regardless, we persevere to learn, explore and rejoice as art and creativity always allows. I live by my childhood motto, "The Trip Continues" and sincerely hope your trip only gets brighter and more vibrant!!!
